Item Minting¶
So, we have (or had) a problem. We want players to be able to run their own stores, and sell items on the server to other players for $BLAZE. However, we don't want these stores to run out of stock 24/7, as if a store is in the middle of the city, and being visited hundreds or thousands of times daily, the owner cant possibly grind enough to have consistant sock. We also don't want to spawn items out of thin air, as that'd degrade their value and ruin the economy.
The Solution: Item Minting¶
Using the Property System, players can buy an Industrial Property (A factory), and place Factory Blocks in that factory.
Factory Blocks can mint items. For example, one Factory block might produce 5 "minting power" per day. Lets say a player wants to make a Blue Cap Cosmetic, which's price might start at say, 10 "minting power". This means that the factory block would have to work for two days to produce one Blue Cap. However each time an item is minted, its minting cost goes up for EVERYONE ON THE SERVER. For eaxmple, maybe the Blue Cap will go up by 1% each time its minted, now it costs 10.1 "minting power". After 100 have been made, it will cost 27 minting power, by the 300th, itll cost 197, etc (Note, I need to change the math here to make it not compounding as it gets out of control very quick). This acts as a "mini blockchain", where you can mint items on the server, and they get harder to mint each time one is made, so by the time 1000 of an item exists, they'll be 20 times harder to mint.
This way, store owners can own factories producing items to sell automatically. I say "mini blockchain" because it isn't actually a block chain, but it works very similarly to one, just on a much smaller scale. This fixes our problem, because it lets shopkeepers create items out of thin air to sell in their store without the item losing its value & causing the economy to crash, as creating these items takes effort, and they become rarer as more are made.
Item Rarity's effect on Minting¶

- ★: One star items are mintable, but their minting cost never increases. It remains the same forever, as the point is they aren't worth much and are easy to get. They do still have a minting cost though, so you can't just make infinite amounts of them.
- ★★: Two star items are mintable, and their minting cost goes up at [Placeholder standard rate]. Their base minting cost is [Placeholder base minting cost]
- ★★★: Three star items are mintable, and their minting cost goes up at [Placeholder high rate]. Their base minting cost is [Placeholder high base cost]
- ★★★★: Four star items are mintable, but their minting cost goes up at [Placeholder unreasonably high rate]. Their base minting cost is [Placeholder unreasonably high rate]
- ★★★★★: Five star items cannot be minted. They must be obtained through other means
- Special: Special items cannot be minted. They must be obtained through other means
- Limited: Limited items can be minted if they are 1-4 star items, but only during their grace period. Limited items are also heavily restricted in minting, only 5 machines per factory can be assigned to the same Limited item, to prevent too many being created.
Please note that the mathematics & precentages of the rate increases are not final and are up for adjustment.
