Stats System¶
The Oasis has a custom stat system replacing Minecrafts Vanilla Attribute Mechanics (Both for Players & Entities). Every player has three stat lists:
- Base Stats (Stats without items)
- Item Bonuses (Hand/Armor/Etc)
- Total Stats
When equipping an item, that items stats is added to your Item Bonuses. Your total stats is calculated by simply adding your base stats to your item bonuses. When unequipping an item, its stats are removed from your item bonuses.
List of Stats:¶
- Health: Displayed in the ActionBar for players. Overrides vanilla health mechanics, damage taken is taken by the Health stat instead. The vanilla "hearts" never actually go down. Going to zero causes Death
- Defense: Displayed in the ActionBar for players. Overrides vanilla armor mechanics. Reduces damage taken (TODO: Need a math person to create a formula for this)
- Speed: Replaces vanilla speed mechanics. How fast you can walk. Default is 100
- Damage: How much damage you deal. By default this is 1 for players, higher for most creatures. Items can increase this stat while holding them.
- Crit Chance: Capped at 99. % chance of dealing a critical hit
- Crit Bonus: A precentage of how much extra damage you deal on a crit
- Luck: A precentage of how much XP you gain. Only effects players. Defaults at 100%
